Let's try a homemade "Postalette Swap." Follow this tutorial for Fern Letter Fold which is a sheet of paper written upon, folded and mailed.

The theme for this month is AUGUST! (National Watermelon Day, National Coloring Book Day, International Left-Handers Day, National Senior Citizens Day, and National Toilet Paper Day.) Search through your stash and find a sheet of August vibes one-sided paper. Write a handwritten or typed personal letter to your partner.

Seal the letter (think a sticker, wax seal, or a bit of washi tape).

Respond to three of the following prompts.

WRITING PROMPTS:

1. Local events, parades or festivals – either in your hometown or state.

2. Life update – what’s happened recently, moving house, family wedding, vacation, new pet, visited with a friend, etcetera.

3. Did you travel on any fun trips or vacations?

4. What's the most interesting thing you learned this summer?

5. What's one thing you wish you did this summer but didn't?

6. What are your current hobbies?

7. What's your favorite thing about your hometown?

8. Do you have any fun plans for the rest of the summer?

9. Did you binge watch anything this summer? Explain.

10. What are you most looking forward to about the new school year?

Answer the following questions:

• Swim at the beach, lake or at the pool?

• Waterpark or amusement park?

• Anime, Disney or Marvel?

• Luxury resort or cabin in the woods?

• Hear thunder that sings or see lightning that makes fireworks?

• Front-row tickets to favorite concert or front-row seats to favorite sports team?
